Ali International (CA) - Provides personal and professional training and consulting to nonprofits for the purpose of further developing community-based programs for people of color.
Alternative Rehabilitation Communities, Inc. (PA) - Provides a continuum of services to youth including residential care; secure care, special needs care, foster care, aftercare and alternative education. Eight of its programs assist male juvenile offenders and one assists female juvenile offenders. All facilities provide on-sight educational services.
Am I My Brother's Keeper (IL) - A faith-based organization with a mission of providing social justice for all individuals and families in crisis. AIMBK has a community resource center that provides after-care services designed to reintegrate individuals back into mainstream society as productive citizens.
Arab American Action Network (IL) - A nonprofit, grassroots, community-based organization working to improve the social, economic and political conditions of Arab immigrants and Arab Americans in the Chicago metropolitan area.
Asian/Pacific Islander Youth Promoting Advocacy & Leadership (CA) - A grassroots community youth organization that works towards the political, social, cultural, and economic empowerment of the A.P.I. community.
Associated Marine Institutes (SC, LA. GA, PA, TX, VA, IL) - A nonprofit dedicated to helping troubled youth develop into responsible and productive citizens by working in partnerships with agencies, local communities and families.
Barrios Unidos (CA) - A multicultural nonprofit whose mission is to prevent and curtail violence among youth by providing them with alternatives.
Bayview Hunter's Point Foundation (CA) - Provides counseling services for adolescent youth ages 12-21 and juvenile intervention services, social activities and sports opportunities for youth on probation.
Be Present, Inc. (GA) - National nonprofit that organizes diverse women and girls into a national network of community activist committed to achieving a world that values the skills and leadership of women and works with women to achieve social change in families, communities and the progressive movement.
Boston-area Youth Organizing Project (MA) - A youth-led, adult-supported organization that works for social change and justice in the Boston area.
Bronx Connect - Urban Youth Alliance (NY) - Urban Youth Alliance trains young people for leadership and provides Alternative to Incarceration services for Bronx youth ages 12-18.
Center for Community Alternatives, Inc. (NY) - CCA is a private, nonprofit agency that works in the fields of criminal and juvenile justice and related human service systems and offers research, training and technical assistance in those fields.
Bronx PRYDE/Bronx Defenders (NY) - Provides space, resources and training to youth in the South Bronx to promote their personal transformation, political development and collective consciousness so that they can use their strengths and talents in creating justice with their lives, families and community.
Brothers Against Guns (CA) - A nonprofit dedicated to serving the youth of San Francisco that collaborates with the school district, Park and Recreation, Housing Authority and other community organizations to prevent youth violence and incarceration through education, intervention, recreation and support services.
Center for Community Alternatives (NY) - Serves people in trouble: youth at risk; families in crisis; people struggling to address drug and alcohol problems and HIV and AIDS; and people who have been involved in the criminal justice system who are seeking community reintegration and productive lives.
Center for Community Learning and Development (CA) - Based out of Springfield Community College in San Diego and was established to enhance communities through improving the quality of human service delivery and through community-based partnership and development that leads toward social and economic justice.
Center for Young Women's Development (CA) - A community-based organization whose mission is to promote economic self-sufficiency, community safety and youth advocacy by providing peer-run employment and leadership development opportunities to low-income women and girls who are homeless, unemployed and living on their own.
CH2A and Associates (OR) - Goes into the Youth Authority and works with the youth inside by teaching them trades. They also work through community colleges and employment agencies to provide incarcerated youth educational opportunities and employment when they are released from the authority.
Chicago Council on Urban Affairs (IL) - Public policy civic organization that provides research and advocacy around juvenile justice issues.
Children's Defense Fund - Black Community Crusade for Children (D.C.) - Aims to weave the networks of the Black community to help provide every child a safe start and a healthy start.
Community Panels for Youth (IL) - A community-based juvenile court diversion program.
Community Restoration Alternative High School (CA) - A charter school that was developed in South Central L.A. that focuses not only on the academic individual but also on the person as a whole.
Community TV Network (IL) - TV production training of cable show for at-risk youth. Focuses on youth empowerment and highlights juvenile justice issues.
Community Wellness Partnership (CA) - They provide a violence prevention program and they empower their youth to organize for social change.
CONTROL-Elementz-Hip Hop Youth Arts Center (OH) - A safe space, an empowering space, and a space for development.
Correctional Association (NY) - Through advocacy, public education, and developing and promoting workable alternative proposals, the Correctional Association seeks to create a more fair, efficient and humane criminal justice system and a more safe and just society.
