Peer-to-Peer National Exchange
PPTA is a cornerstone of the CJNY because our
programs do tremendous work under extremely difficult circumstances
while receiving little organizational support. To shift the nation's
reliance on large institutional models of incarceration we must have
effective community-based alternatives. We add value to the programs
we serve by contacting other organizations that share
their mission, are similarly situated, have innovative practices or
programs they can share, and/or administrative structures that can be
replicated. The CJNY network members represent the most innovative
programming in the country. CJNY member programs are our best resource
for implementing effective alternatives. Our affiliates are experts on everything
from property management to zero-tolerance curriculums. For more information contact our National
Technical Assistance Coordinator Malachi Garza at mgarza@burnsinstitute.org.
